Pass the Peas Please

What do you do when someone kindly gives you a couple pounds of fresh peas that are already shelled? You pass the peas a couple of times. While I’m not a fan of canned peas, fresh peas taste great. But even though I was extremely grateful for all the fresh food what do you do with all those peas? And this is what I came up with.



Take a couple tablespoons of butter and heat it in a pan. Chop a clove of garlic and an onion. Add to the butter. Add about a cup of peas. Make sure you add a little water. Cook for about 5 minutes. Then add 2 or three cut up tomatoes. And that’s an easy peasy way to liven up peas.

  2. Looks yummy Heidi! I have only been able to get them in tins. It would be great to eat them fresh.
