Dutch Cabbage

Yes, it’s that time of year to look for those hearty meals, that inexpensive, and well fill us up. Dutch cabbage is one of those meals. It tastes great, and it’s so easy to prepare.

What you’ll need

One head of cabbage chopped finely
1 pound of sausage
1 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon butter

Here’s what you need to do.

Chop your head of cabbage. While you are doing this melt the butter in a skillet. Then add the cabbage so cook until it is coated with the butter, but don’t let it get soggy. Set this aside.
Break up the sausage and brown it. When it is completely browned, add your cabbage. Now mix the vinegar, mustard, water, and sugar. Mix all the ingredients together while they are cooking. Cook for approximately 15 minutes. Don’t allow the cabbage to become soggy while you are cooking.

Now you have a tasty meal that tastes great.
