Apple Walnut Lettuce Salad

Spring is finally here, and with it will be warmer days. I often look for lighter meals in the spring, so here’s a recipe for a light and apple walnut lettuce salad.

Apple Walnut Lettuce Salad
Here’s what you’ll need

A green apple cut into slices
A large bowl of cut up romaine leaf lettuce
2 tablespoons of honey
¼ cup of crumbled blue cheese
¼ cup of walnuts
¼ cup of turkey bacon bits

What you need to do

First lightly brush the honey over the apples. Next throw all of the ingredients into the bowl, toss it, and serve.  See it’s so easy and healthy too!

  5. I remember the first time I made salad with apples and cranberries. My kids thought I was nuts, but they sure ate it up. Never thought to brush the apples with honey though. I'll give it a try.
