Dance of Atoms Music Review

Dance of Atoms is a two man group hailing from Texas. This duo is bringing back a taste of the 80’s new wave sound with a whimsical twist. This summer they will be releasing their first ep, and it is something that contains music that will make you want to dance.

So what makes this group so great in my opinion? Well, first it doesn’t sound like music that is being played on the radio. It’s different. The first song on the ep, Burn Me Up reminded me of a Devo sound. It’s the synthesizers I think. And well if you’ve ever heard a Devo song you know that it has a distinct sound.

I couldn’t decide which song on the recording I liked best. It’s a toss-up between The 80’s, and the band’s version of Another One Bites The Dust. The 80’s is a fun song. It will bring back loads of memories for anyone who grew up in the 80’s. It talks about all the things that were popular during the 80’s. I haven’t thought about swatch watches for years. And then they put their own twist on Another One Bites The Dust. The lyrics and tune are the same, but it uses synthesizers to make it unique.

But while the music is danceable, that doesn’t mean that it is lightweight. These guys have managed to combine dance music with lyrics that have some meaning. They aren’t afraid to be themselves in their music, and I believe that they have created something different than the average band with this release. Their music is available through their website currently, and it will be released on all the major music markets in July.
