Digital Cooking Thermometor by Cave Tool

I was contacted by Cave Tool a few weeks ago to do a review of one of their products. I was given my choice and since I really needed a new cooking thermometer that's what I picked.
I received my thermometer. I opened the package and it contained the thermometer as it was described on Amazon. It was in a box that clearly stated that it has a lifetime satisfaction guarantee. And it had the easy storage case with a clip just as it was described. So far so good. They delivered what they promised.

But would it deliver on the important did it deliver accurate temperature readings when I used it for cooking. So it was time to bake some chicken breasts. I am never sure if I have cooked chicken thoroughly without measuring the temperature. And I want no part of some of the evil things that can happen if you eat undercooked chicken. So I baked the chicken. After an hour I pulled the chicken out of the oven. I pulled the thermometer out of its case and inserted it into the chicken.
I was pleased the thermometer gave me a reading immediately. I wanted to see if read accurately so I checked it with an older thermometer that I had, and it was right. So I knew that it worked.

So what do I like about this gadget?
1. It is accurate.
2. I like the case that comes with it. It is so easy to store.
3. The temperature displays on the top.
4. It comes with a free downloadable recipe book.

What didn't I like?
The one thing I didn't like was the price. It cost was $24.99. Initially this would have deterred me from purchasing the item. But when I thought about it. It provided me with the temperature display on top of it instead of the side like so many others so the little extra money was worth it. But really there are many thermometers on Amazon in that price range that don't offer the temperature on top of the gadget. So this really wasn't enough for me to say no to the item.

So if you're looking for new kitchen gadget or need something for your summer grilling to assure that your food is cooked safely, then you should check this Cave Tool out.

FYI: I did receive this item for free in exchange for a review, but all of the opinions are mine.
