Jack is a little boy who has kicked his ball and can't find the ball. He finally decides that in order to get his ball back he must muster up the courage to search for it. Even though he is afraid of where it might take him. He must look for his ball.
What I Think of the Book
I really enjoyed reading this book. Jack is just like so many children who looses something while he is playing with it. I liked how the book flowed. The story rhymes so it's easy to read through. That's perfect for children. And I loved all the different places Jack wound up visiting in order to find what he has lost. The illustrator Brittany Harris has created pictures that are colorful and alive. The I really enjoyed the pictures in the book where Jack was by the sea. I also like that this book encourages the reader to conquer their fears. It's a problem people of all ages can relate to. But it really fits the age of two to eight.
Who Should Read This Book
This book is perfect for parents who are wanting to develop a love of books in their children. The rhymes in the story make it a natural for it to be read out loud. It's a perfect story for the child or adult who is feeling a little afraid of a situation they are facing.
I did receive a free copy of this book from BookCrash in exchange for an honest review, but the opinions expressed are all mine.
