Loaded Vegetable Butterfly Snacks

Finding a healthy kids snack that they actually will eat is always a challenge isn't it? But if you make the food look fun it becomes a little easier. This simple snack has veggies, calcium, and it's super easy to make.

Here's What You Need

Flat Bread
8 oz creme cheese at room temperature
1/4 cup chopped chives
celery
radishes
carrots
butterfly cookie cutters

Here's What You Do

First blend your chives and creme cheese together. Next get your bread out and use the cookie cutters to cut out your butterflies. Now spread some of the creme cheese mixture over the butterflies. Next cut some of the red on your radishes and add them to the wings. Do the same with some of the carrots. Next cut a strip of celery and place it in the center of the of the bread.

A Little Chive Trivia

Chives are a member of the onion family.

Chives are super easy to grow. They are perennials. So they will return year after year. But most individuals will probably want to plant them in pots since they will spread throughout your garden. And the bonus is you can bring a pot of them inside in the winter.

Chives are high in vitamin C.
