Dandelion Lemonade

Some people hate dandelions. But dandelions have that I won't give up attitude. No matter how hard you try to get rid of them they are always coming back. I figure why fight a loosing battle. And the truth is dandelions are extremely high in nutritional value.

These so called weeds are high in fiber. They are loaded with vitamin c. And they even contain some protein. So stop fighting the war against dandelions an start adding a little to your diet. In the spring it is one of the cheapest foods available. It's free.

Dandelion Lemonade

Here's What You Need

1 cup of dandelion flowers
5 lemons
1/2 cup of honey
3 cups of water

Here's What You Do

Slice one of you lemons into slices. Next remove all the green parts from the dandelions. You only want the flower itself. Now add the water, lemon and dandelions to a pan and boil for 5 minutes. It doesn't take long. Next strain the lemons and the flowers from the fluid. Now add the mixture to a container and squeeze in the juice from the lemons and then add the honey. Allow the mixture to cool and refrigerate for an hour or so. If it is too tart add more honey. It's just that simple.

And well this is something you could whip up in case of that zombie apocalypse.

More food for the survivalists in the crowd.
