Uneven Exchange

Ever wonder what it would be like to go undercover as a secret agent? That is the opportunity that is provided to Alexandra in the book Uneven Exchange by S.K. Derban.

The Story

Alexandra is a successful business woman. She has a beautiful home. She is able to travel. And she enjoys her interior design job. But she is a little bored, and she just can't get the attention she wants from her business partner Jake. So when she is contacted by the DEA to act as an agent, it didn't take much thought to jump in.

Alexandra is assigned to infiltrate a drug lords home in Mexico. Her assignment is to act as his sister. Alexandra looks exactly like the drug lords sister, but can she learn to act just like her? Soon Alexandra finds herself learning everything she can about the mysterious Daniela whose identity she will assume. But will her mission be a success? And how will the individuals in her everyday life react to the change in her life. And will she be able to keep her life as an agent a secret?

What I Think

This book is a really easy read. The story moves along. The characters are from diverse backgrounds. There is adventure. And there is romance. But it also contains characters who aren't afraid to follow their inner voice to do the right things in life. And I like that. The book also explores the many different types of romances there are. And I enjoyed that the relationships in the back were healthy relationships. They aren't romances that are based on a lot of drama.

Who Might Enjoy This Book

Fans of romance novels will enjoy this book. There are several different romances throughout the book. And if you enjoy mysteries you will enjoy this book too. And anyone who is looking for a story that they read through in an afternoon will really enjoy this book. And if you are a fan of books that focus on individuals with faith you might enjoy this book too.
