Asparagus Cheese Soup

I don't about all of you, but I love those creamy soups in the winter time. They just seem to make the cold days seem a little warmer. So this asparagus cheese soup is perfect for a cold winter day.

Here's What You Need

4 Tbsp butter
1/2 onion diced
1 can green beans
1 can of potatoes
1/2 lb mushrooms
1 clove chopped garlic
2 cups milk
2 cups chicken stock
8 oz cream cheese
16 oz shredded cheddar cheese

Here's What You Do

Place the butter in a stock pot. Heat the butter and add the onion and garlic. After a couple of minutes add the mushrooms. Add the beans, the potatoes, the chicken stock. Add the milk and continue to cook for another 10 minutes. Then add the cream cheese and cheddar cheese. Once the cheese is melted the soup is ready to serve.
