I Said No!

Someone recently told me a story about a co-worker of theirs that was so quiet and cooperative. And then there was this day, when another co-worker who was quite vocal about what they want. There was a day when this assertive individual approached the small quiet co-worker, and told them it was time to do something.

The quiet one said no. The assertive one repeated what she said, and the quiet one slowly reached out and place her fingertips on the co-workers should pushed lightly and said no.

Now the assertive co-worker ran to a supervisor and told them what happened. She wanted something done. The supervisor gave some excuse, and nothing was done.

Now there are many individuals out there who may say that the quiet one was in the wrong, but I disagree with that. She told the assertive one no, and the little push with her fingers was just saying I said no. And I wonder if she was thinking to herself, why didn't you listen to me when I said no the first time.

Anyway, that's my musing for the day. And let me know what you think of the situation.

  1. I don't see a problem with a firm no and a little push
