Meditation has proven health benefits. But most people believe that they have to set aside an hour to make it worth while. But that isn't true. Here are some little known things about meditation that may help all of those individuals who are passing up the health benefits because they just don't have enough time.

Five minutes is all you really need to gain some of the benefits of meditation. Even those individuals who suffer from that short attention span can manage that.

Prayer is a form of meditation. So those individuals who say meditation is all new age, it's not. You can gain benefits from praying for a few minutes a day.

Being mindful of what is going on around you is part of meditation. You aren't just clearing your mind. You are paying attention to the moment.
