Be Fearless

Have you ever had a time when you worry about a new situation? Maybe you are starting a new job. Maybe you are going to a different school. There are things you are worrying about. Your imagination is running wild. Here are a few situations and a few suggestions on how to deal with those situations.

No Friends

This is a common fear. Most people don't like being the outsider. The easiest way to start a conversation with someone you don't know is to pay a genuine compliment. Tell someone how much you like their shoes or necklace. Most individuals smile when you compliment them and you may hear a story about this person.

Everyone has had a time when they have tried something and it didn't work out.  One way to overcome this fear is to picture yourself doing what you want. If you are worried that nobody will come to that holiday party you are planning. Picture yourself talking to your guests and your home full of merriment.

The Schedule

You are worried that you won't be able to get everything done. When you start feeling a little overwhelmed with the new things you are faced with take a deep breath so you can think clearly again. I had a job where where we had papers that would be handed to us. There were days when the stacks seemed like mountains. I would take a breath and grab one off the top. Before I knew it the stack of papers would be gone. Digging into the situation and seeing it get finished made me worry much less about big projects in the future.

So go out there and be fearless.
