I Know It's Christmas When

Everybody has things that remind that that the Christmas season has begun. Some people have some of the same things on their list of items. And some people have truly original ones. Here are some of the things that make me know it's Christmas.

For years the city I live in has thrown a party around the lighting of the big Santa sleigh display on the side of a wall of the building. Every time I drive past that display I think Christmas and I smile.

There are bell ringers at the stores you go to. Yep, those bell ringers from The Salvation Army are a sure sign of the holiday. And if any of you have had the pleasure of bell ringing, you know that you dream about all sorts of bells the first time you do.
The temperature dips significantly, and the threat of snow is in every weather forecast. Yep, the temperature was 26 degrees when I left the house today. Christmas is coming.

Realizing I need to do more than take an inventory of the Christmas paper I have. I actually have to start wrapping those presents. Yes, the work must begin sometime.
I feel a need to stock up on hot chocolate and candy canes. Can you ever get enough of them?

And lastly, when the Christmas packages begin to arrive, instead of being items being ordered.

How do all of you know that the Christmas season has arrived?
