Tea Tree Oil Shampoo

I was contacted a week or so ago, by a company named Maple Holistics. They asked if I would be interested in doing a review of their Tea Tree Oil Shampoo. I visited their website and I thought oh, yeah. This sounds like something I need to try out. They sent me a free sample of the product. And I'm going to tell you about it, and what I think of it.

The Product

According to the Mapleholistics website the shampoo may help improve scalp and hair health. And it may even encourage hair growth. It is cruelty free, paraben free, GMO free, and gluten free. And it is currently selling for $8.95 for an 8 oz. bottle.

The bottle comes with a seal on top so it is difficult for the product to leak. And the outside of the bottle has a purple background. It has a picture of white tea branches.

The ingredients are clearly listed on the back. And as I read the list I realized that I really did need to learn more about the names of some of the ingredients. But overall, it looked like a earth friendly list.

When I opened the bottle the shampoo has a pearly color, and it had the scent of tea tree oil.
And when I used the shampoo on my hair, it lathered well. I scrubbed the shampoo into my scalp, and it rinsed out well.

What I Think

I liked that this shampoo was easy to use. My scalp did feel clean and while I used the shampoo, I did not have problems with dry scalp. I don't have trouble with dandruff, but in the winter my scalp and hair do get a little dry and itchy. The shampoo did help with this, so I was pleased that it did what it claimed to do.

Tea tree oil is not my favorite scent, and I was worried that the scent of the shampoo would linger in my hair after use. This wasn't a problem. My hair simply smelled clean.

I like that the shampoo was so easy to rinse out. Sometimes soap clings to my hair, and it can leave it looking a little waxy. Perhaps, it was the tea tree oil in the shampoo. Anyway, I like the look.

I like that that Mapleholistics products have a free sample program. You can actually try the product before you purchase it, and hey who doesn't like freebies? Make sure you follow the link to get your sample.

There was one thing I didn't like about the product. The original price of an 8 oz. bottle of shampoo is $25.00. I felt that was a little steep, but it is currently on sale for $8.95, which is a great deal.

  1. I wouldn't pay $25 for a bottle of shampoo because I am a bit of a tight ass
