Sprightly Moans

Some people like pop, some people like country, and some people like something a little more edgy. Sprightly Moans might be a band that is for you. Sprightly Moans is a band based out of Austin, Texas, that focuses on making loud music. If you’ve ever heard acid rock from the 60s and 70s, then you have an idea of the band’s sound. And I’m sure that there may be a few listeners who believe they are having a flashback when they listen to the music.

I listened to the band’s Demos II on Reverbnation, and I liked what I heard. The music has a lot of guitar, and a lot of drums. My favorite song of the three songs that are available on Demos II is Twin Kilns. It kind of reminds me of Tomorrow Never Knows by The Beatles. And that’s mainly due to the drums in the song. And a little bit of that far away vocal sound that is in Tomorrow Never Knows. The lyrics are honest, the vocalists clearly states that ‘nothing good can come of this.’

The band has opted to release their music in ep forms so that it is more affordable, and partially so they are able to release music more often. If you like music like Jimi Hendrix you should definitely check out their music on Reverbnation, and hopefully they will release a new ep soon.
